Graduate of English Philology at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.
After graduation, he worked in radio and television in Kraków, Kielce, Łódź, Warsaw and London. He hosted such programmes as ‘Songs with lyrics’ (Polish Radio Programme III) and ‘Music at night’ (Polish Radio Programme I). He is the author of short stories, radio plays and television shows. He is a member of the ZAiKS Authors’ Association and the Association of Polish Authors and Composers.
In the first free local elections after the 2nd World War, on 27 May 1990, he was elected to the City Council and the Provincial Assembly on behalf of the Kielce ‘Solidarity’ Citizens’ Committee. In both bodies he served as chairman of the Education, Culture and Sport Committee. At the same time, he was the Mayor’s plenipotentiary for international cooperation. He was involved, among others, in the establishment of the Kielce Trade Fair Centre and the construction of the Kielce Cultural Centre.
For over 20 years, he and his wife ran the largest network of language schools in the region, ‘Global Village’, with establishments in Kielce, Skarżysko, and Starachowice (awarded, among others, European Language Label and European Edu-Media Award).
